I've been searching for a place to store my purse inside my car when driving for a long time.
I did find a way to solve the problem by using a plastic coat hanger and two 12" zip ties. I took a cheap plastic coat hanger, wrapped a zip tie around each metal head rest post and around the bottom edge of the plastic hanger and zipped it up. Now I had a place to store my purse on the loop of the hanger. It looked pretty ugly but it worked. I tired of this ugly white hanger in my pretty car fast so, it was back to the drawing board.
The other day when searching on Amazon I found just what I've been looking for. Car Hooks!
One package with two Car Hooks cost $6.99 and shipping was free.
The most difficult part was removing my handmade contraption. I really zipped the ties too close to the metal post and had to use a serrated knife to cut the plastic zip tie with a back and forth motion until it snapped. However, in the process of cutting I made some grooves in the metal post. See the groove marks on the left. Oh well, I won't tell anyone if you don't.
The Car Hooks were super easy to install. Just lift up the head rest and slide the car hook through the metal post. I like to position one directly behind the passenger seat on the left post. That way I can grab my purse easily if I need something immediately. Here's a picture of my purse directly behind the drivers seat. I like this position, too.
Not only are the hooks great for storing your purse but also for hanging your grocery bags after shopping. Before I had Car Hooks a bag of groceries spilled out on the floor during a sudden stop. Groceries went every where on the floor. I thought I had found everything but a week later I smelled a funny odor in my car. One of the mini cucumbers was way under the drivers seat and it was nasty.
Now my car looks presentable again and I'm happy girl.
I'd love to hear your story on where you place your purse when driving.
It's time to go grocery shopping.
Thanks a Bunch,
I received no compensation from Car Hooks or Amazon regarding this post.
From one girl to another,
Do you know how to look as cute as your CAR when driving?
Beach Towel Bag
Are you planning a trip to the beach this summer? If so, Tiffany at ArtSea Chic has a "comfortable solution to laying on the beach without sitting in a burning chair, having a beach towel fly away in the wind, and having to use whatever is on hand as a pillow. She did something about it and made a custom beach towel bag. Here's her instructions and Week Twos-Most Popular PIn.
Thanks a Bunch

How many wash their own car? I do and really enjoy it. Not only do I save money but when I step back and see the end result I feel pretty darn good about how nice my car looks.
Washing a car is really not difficult as Caroline of ChicMoto will tell you. With the proper supplies and a little elbow grease your baby will look brand spanking new.
Give it try this weekend. I'd love to hear how much you enjoyed it. Upload a picture on my Facebook page with your sparkling, clean car.
